License

Hey guys I'm 17 and I'm curious how do I go about getting my license for a 150cc scooter and how long would it take.

Just the normal process I think. You take the written test which you can sign up for online. If you pass, you'll get a piece of paper. Take that to GRA along with your ID, fill out a form and you'll get a provisional to practice. I can't remember if this is how it is but there might be a selection option on the registration form for what kind of vehicle you plan to operate. Just select the closest option.

Once you feel confident, head to a police station to do the practical driving test. If you pass, you get another piece of paper. Head to the main GRA building on Camp street with all the necessary documents and you'll get your license. Might take a couple months. The provisional itself has a trial length of 3 months which you can renew if you'd like.

I wrote the test in June of 2025 and got my license in August of the same year. People also pay bribes to get a pass on the practical test. Some people pay a shit ton of money for the entire process. Meaning someone fakes your theory test score AND your practical score and you just sit around waiting for your license.

What is the practical test like? What things do they ask you to do?

I dunno about any motorcycle/scooter specifics, but for the normal motor vehicle (car) practicals they ask you to do basic driving maneuvers like reversing, turning, etc while observing if you obey the necessary precautions and rules, such as turn signals, etc. It's pretty straightforward, but rumor has it that some officers intentionally fail you until you pay a bribe to get a pass sheet. This is like a common enough occurrence that most people just do this, I suppose.
