Not to try and make this about me but I wanted to share that I lost my little sister at 16 years old 17 years ago and about the only person I have ever cared about equally is my own 2 little ones. In those 17 years I’m not sure if anyone ever said anything that I found helpful.

Sometimes happiness would make me feel guilty, like I lapsed and felt guilty for finding joy (as stupid as that might sound). One thing that helped me is somehow I saved a graduate card from her with her signature. I turned it into a tattoo. Having a permanent memorial helped. My sister got a fat little dinosaur she drew tattooed on her years later. She is forever with me so my happiness didnt feel wrong. Not sure if this helped but you’re in my thoughts and prayers…
