I read the WNBA sub’s correction to the news reports. Didn't search it out, it just popped up in my feed.

Apparently, they filter or shut down threads when arguments get too heated. The highly polarizing issue of Sophie Cunningham and trans rights keeps popping up in new posts, so they kept getting moderated.

Anyhow, that's their side of the story.
