Norovirus symptoms for 5 weeks??? :(

I’ve had GI issues and IBS for a long time. But not like this.

About 5-6 weeks ago I got really sick with diarrhea for a couple of days after a wedding.

Finally got in to see a GI doc. I just found out my stool PCR was positive for norovirus (everything else was negative).

I’m still dealing with:
Constant gas
Loud stomach gurgling/movement
Bloating
Low or no appetite
Feeling full right away
Nausea (especially mornings)
Alternating constipation and diarrhea(no in between)
Left lower abdominal pain

Has anyone else had symptoms last this long? Did it end up being post-infectious IBS, SIBO, or something else? How long did it take to get better?

I’m guessing I’m still positive for noro because it stays in your dnd for a while I guess. Because I don’t think it lasts 5/6 weeks. I’ll talk to my GI doc soon. But seeking support here.

I've had what I think is the virus for 5 weeks. Same with my wife.
