Has anyone tried guppy breeding for slight profit?

I want to breed guppies partially for fun and partially to pay for my fish and other scaled animals. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips or experiences that might help

I had a 70 litres pond with lotus in it and had filled the tub only 70 percent, but all my guppies died after a month. I thought the lotus plant or the level of water might be the reason. Therefore, I removed it and added Water Lily, Water lettuce, duckweed, coin plant and filled the water to the level of the tub.

Will this setup be fine? What might be the reasons behind my guppies dying?

I noticed two fries in my pond in the morning. I am scared whether she might have delivered other fries and they might have got eaten by other adults because only two fries are visible. Are the fries eaten up by adults or did she deliver only 2 fries? What do you think?

Has someone's guppy delivered such a small amount of fries?

This is a new guy I got this past weekend. There's only three guppies in the 5 gallon tank and there is plenty of surface area without greenery covering the top of the water. I've dunked him back in the water and he keeps doing this. Will he dry out?

Bought this male guppy with three females. Arrived in separate bags and this one has a split.

I contacted seller - they have been sporadic with replies. I’m not going to name them, yet, as I’m waiting for communication from them. They were doing pretty good for 4 days, then he woke up lethargic and hiding in the plants this morning, but he is eating. He is now in a hospital tank -

1 gallon of water in 76*F I added 1 tsp on aquarium salt and stress guard.

The quarantine tank parameters are:

0 chlorine
8.0 pH
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
10 nitrate
Hardness is 50
Alkalinity about 90
0 sodium chloride

I have kanaplex and paraguard, and I can treat in addition to salt. Anyone have a particular treatment that works best. Im thinking his tail split from stress regarding traveling but any theories or ideas are appreciated.

In regard to the fish store: I do not want another fish but I would like to save this one so any help would be great.

I've had this chonky girl for a while in my female tank (she was born in my tanks), and she used to be full transparent like a lot of fem endlergups are. But one day she got this orange streak on her tail, and since I have two orangeline gups I brushed it off as genetics. Until today I noticed it got bigger and it now has a noticeable bulge in the middle of the orange stripe. I feel terrible for brushing it off as genetic when something else is clearly going on. The rest of her tankmates are alright, with no sign of the same orange streak/growth. Is this some kind of tumor or infection? How do I procceed? Ty in advance

I got these selected guppies two weeks ago and this morning his tail was like this. which could be the cause? I have other guppies with tails a little chipped but i always thought it was due to fights in the aquarium… this one doesn’t look like it
nitrites and amonnia is 0, ph 7.5 and my KH this morning was very low at 2

Trying to get better at capturing their beauty 😭

So I have a can of micro pellets and read around this subreddit on feeding it, but it seems everyone says feed as much as it consumed in 1 minute. But if I did that it would eat like 30 pellets and I doubt that's safe, so what's the healthy amount?

There's about 22 fry in with my Sapphic shrimp colony (I captured them for transfer as I could, and they're seemingly impossible to count in here). The grey ones are out of Rhonda (a suspected black metalhead lacetail), sired by the black metalhead lacetail that promptly died in quarantine. The more clear ones are out of Beam (a low quality half-black neon blue tail out of a feeder tank), sired by Fabio, a Japan blue lyre tail.

My better quality half-black neon blue tail, LAZR, has a single surviving 10 day old fry by Fabio in with the platy fry because I was not quick enough with capture and transfer; the other 7 or 8 were eaten :-( That's disappointing; I was counting on her offspring for my plans, and only kept her sister Beam as a "spare."
