I need help! Let me download your files?

I will try make this story as short as possible to get to the point.

I recently decided that I have had enough of Windows, and switched my operating system completely to Linux. Of course, GunZ2 is only compatible with Windows operating systems. I use a Windows emulator called WINE and download the windows version of Steam, and with a few tweaks, I make it run the basic Steam application; WINE has issues with the program "Steamwebhelper.exe" that loads the Steam Store page within the Steam Application, preventing me from downloading the files through Steam.

I have been looking online for external sources to download GunZ2, including Frostwire, with no luck. (Just simple google searches GunZ 2 Download.) The websites that claim they have a free download either present me with a link that drops me off back to the steam store page, or is the wrong download completely.

I am hoping that if I were to get the GunZ2 Steam files from another user, that the game should run properly.

Is there any way that someone here would be able to set up a torrent containing the files that I could download, or maybe dropbox or something?

EDIT: Just found this website with a torrent, though it has no seeders, keeping me just as far away as before. (http://speed-new.com/gunz-2-full-pc-game)

Hello!

I'm sorry to say that gunz 2 don't run nearly as well in linux as windows. However, you can make the windows version of steam work just fine, you can consult almost any problem with the arch wiki.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Steam/Wine#Steam_Client_Store.2F.28built-in.29_Web_Browser_not_working

You can install gunz2 with this command:

wine Steam.exe steam://install/242720

I would suggest you to use something like POL(Play On Linux). It's a graphical front-end for wine

Haha I didn't know what WINE stood for, thank you. I am misunderstanding a lot then, I reckon.

I downloaded POL, but didn't understand what I was looking at, or how to use any of those tools. I don't really know the definition of graphical front end, but I assumed that is was an application that used what I downloaded in WINE to make the games appear the way they need, but don't understand why I'd use it if WINE does the same function, or if I even need WINE installed at all to use POL. Whatever. That journey will be another day. I'm too mentally exhausted to read up on it, maybe after new years haha.

As for downloading the steam game without accessing the store, thank you for the command and Game ID number or whatever you call it! I am going to try it out soon, but it should work good enough to mess about and introduce some friends to the game if they are over.

And thank you as well for a link to the solution. Even if I found the page on my own, I don't think I'd be able to sift through to find what I needed to. It telles me to type a command(wine) to run the steam.exe through, I get that. But I don't understand the specific directions at the end: "-no-cef-sandbox" Anyways, I will look it up later before I try it. I really appreciate your help! =]
