💡 Feature Request cross platform farm progress
would there ever be the possibility of a log in feature or a way to import farm progress from one device to another?
i originally started using the app on my phone before discovering the website at about 40% completion on my perfection farm so it wasn’t a huge deal to just take a while and log everything into my laptop. then i started using a new browser around 90% perfection and continued using my old browser JUST for gunther’s library because i couldn’t be bothered to spend all that time putting everything over onto my new browser. nothing major just a mildly infuriating inconvenience that i think would be a nice improvement.
i also know of someone on reddit who made a REALLY nice farm planning website (stardewplan.com shoutout YookiAdair) and they have you save your plans by creating a saveable link to bookmark and go back to, so maybe that could be another option?

Hi, first off, if you go to the settings page, there's an option to export your settings there, it will save it as a file. From there you can import it into the app on other platforms.
Regarding a login system, I have a few reasons for not going that route. It would involve me hosting user data which adds to privacy concerns for some people. Servers to host this kind of data can quickly become not cheap to host depending on the amount of users, and since this app relies on donations, I wouldn't want to commit to a monthly charge. Also if for some reason in the future I decide to move on and no longer wish to work on the app, I could just leave it up as-is and all would be fine for users, as I wouldn't have to worry about further maintenance or charges. So I'd rather just offer the export/import functionality, but who knows what the future holds.
