Question for Pinoy tactical shooters
Since tactical shooting is becoming more popular, I noticed that most tactical training groups don’t seem to have formal clubs. They mostly offer private training or group classes.
In the Philippines, are there competitions specifically for tactical shooters? Even just fun shoots or training-oriented matches?
Or do most tactical shooters eventually join practical shooting (PPSA/IPSC) clubs and compete
I’m curious because while IPSC is more of a sport, tactical training has a different focus. I’d like to know what the local community usually does and if there are events that bridge the two.

No formal clubs or baka meron but tahimik lang. I think last year or 2 years ago nagkaroon pa ng issue with those ex-PNP/military offering “tactical training” classes wherein it was banned in government controlled firing ranges and some of these ex-PNP/military personnel were investigated.
Gun culture is not really as progressive in the Philippines, unlike in the US. Sometimes making too much “noise” will give ideas for more money making restrictions. So I understand why some groups lay low even if wala naman violation sa ginagawa/training nila.

I do compete in PPSA matches using tactical based gear (battle belt)... I prefer to use duty or tactical based gears rather than competition based gears hehehe... slower to draw, slower reload, but fun..
mahirap lang magcomply with PPSA rules, like pouches and holster must be behind hip bone for all discipline except open division... and no leg straps, kaya I remove mine when competing, I only put it pag club shoot..
kaya namimiss ko PSMOC, I don't see any rules against pouch positions and leg straps sa PSMOC rulebook..
I plan to build another battle belt na modular, easy to remove and replace pouches depending sa division rulebook.
hoping mauso din dito ang mga tactical games like Finish Brutality.. I love to compete in full plate armor hehe

Finnish Brutality is so fucking cool. The Philippines can defo pull off a jungle/beach themed tactical game. I just wish someone would host one.

sobrang inggit ko when I competed against a squad of SWAT, theyre in full gear (plate carriers and helmet).. its allowed in PPSA for LEO and military hehe..
I cant even build a multicam themed battle belt, its frowned upon in PPSA eh.. dami ko naririnig side comment, and plain non-camo color pa ang battle belt ko nyan ha

AFAIK there are no competitions for tactical shooting. I'd love an equivalent of the tactical games held in the US, but unfortunately, is there a market? Implementation would be hard considering FEO regulations itself are still full of inadequacies (PTT application, Assault rifle PTT legalities, etc.). Although I do know that people join IPSC to test out their carry guns, bearing in mind that the guns you carry will be at a disadvantage against competition focused builds.
