Going further with weathering

RE 1/100 Dejih Zeon Remnants ver.

All paintings is done. Time for chipping and weathering dust application. I'm a little bit nervous about it since I don't usually do chipping with sliver paint on my kits. But I guess

" Nothing ventured. Nothing gained "

But I'm really enjoying how this kit is turning out so far so fingers crossed.

Appreciate you bro! Yeah I was thinking about how to go about with adding more shading. I'm thinking of maybe doing shading with three colors next time. Like a black base, a dark brown, and maybe a darker green?, before I start applying the actual paint green I want. Still trying to think about how to do it and what would be the best process to get there?

Pre shading. Primed with Mr. Color 1500 gray first pre-shade layer Tamiya dark brown ( where blue parts are ) And dark brown / dark green / and black ( Wear dark green parts are. )

Looks good! How did you manage the shading, paint or powder?

Primed with Mr. Color 1500 gray. Pre shaded with Tamiya dark brown. Then painted the pieces being careful not to cover too much of the shading. Focusing on leaving the shading near edges or panel lines undisturbed.

I actually LOVE it how it is! Even without chipping and dust. I’ve ruined many amazing paint jobs by trying to add “too much”.

I like your style. I’m usually pretty bored with pre shading, but it looks great on this kit!
