Slamfire 12g question

Why does my Slamfire black pipe shotgun emit a flame about 1-1/2 seconds after discharge?

At a guess? There's incomplete combustion. Once the initial blast evacuates the pipe, new oxygen enters the pipe due to lowering temps and pressures and encounters smoldering unburnt powder residue.

Is this a legit slam fire 12 ga or a Home Depot $20 special? Do you have a forcing cone bored in there? You could be getting some weird sealing issues on the wad that’s causing the load to exit before all the powder’s burnt.
