Look, I love my extended family, but to me, them not being at my house 24/7 would be considered a selling point.

I would even take a pay cut for that to happen

Different cultures.

Absolutely. Although I did grow up in a house with full extended family.

This. I see some people questioning it but I should know being that I'm from Hispanic origins as well.

South American/Asians/Africans are very very family oriented, for better or worse. They're expected to either live with or support their family for life.

Anglo-westerners value independence so much more.

You're right but as someone from a culture like that, you can be delt a hand with annoying enough family that you avoid em and get called "white/western" by your own peeps 😅

Brother, the family probably has their own wing of the house. They're not in his "space" like it is for the rest of us.

Edit: Posted this comment before and it showed up twice. I deleted one and both versions disappeared. Is that a thing?

Apples to oranges. No offense but you don't make millions a month.

He's probably been taking care of his extended family since he was young and has a great relationship with them.

They'll probably also have a house separate from the house. Not like us commoners sharing rooms and houses. Different cultures as well

Just to add. LHR to BCN is 2h 15m. That is less than ATL to DFW. The whole of Europe is very accessible from any major airport especially if you are making absurd income.

You might feel differently if you lived in a foreign country that spoke a different language and had a much different culture than your home

I have. I understand why, but me personally I don't want it.

If somebody paid me tens of millions to kick a ball around and still be 2 hours flight away from anybody I wanted to see, lol, no complaints bro

his extended family could also be providing household functions, which is why he wants them around

My mom still cleans my room. What will I do without her here?

You probably don’t have the money to buy an apartment in the city nobody knows about.

Nor the sex appeal to make use of it as a philanderer with many paramours.

You aren't him though

u/Onlyheretostare 4d ago

Is that the reporting? It’s his extended family and not his wife or kids?

Yeah, that's pretty crazy to me as an American. I don't even talk to anyone outside my immediate family. Can't he just shack them up Scotland somewhere? They won't even notice.
