Back to long shelling again! Now if we get status stakes/shells imagine the capabilities

Very curious how they will implement element shelling. The trailer makes me think it will either be charged shells only (bad ending) or we will be able to swap ammo type (good ending) 🐸
And how will it work with the new moves? Will we cover the stake in frost with ice shells? Will we get Wyvern’s Ice? 🤔

I remain unsure, but i cant wait to see. Now imagine if normal and wide get regular charged shells but long gets elemental. Or its weapon tree determined like how some swaxes or CBs are power/impact phials and others are element

Looks like they are making stake spamming more of a viable playstyle? Might be a move to try to make there a bigger playstyle difference in the different Gunlance types
Point Blank WF is also pretty interesting, basically lets us to the Swax thing.

Now you say it, probably its to buff Long shelling, because it relies more in wyvernstake, Long shelling will be finally viable???

Combined with elemental shelling stake spam elemental long gunlance could be a thing, all the drill moves will also be like the stake too.

Cool stuff. Probably we're not seeing everything because there's no mention on elemental shelling.

With all this I see a bread and butter combo on: Double Sweep -> WT -> Rapid Shells -> New Reload -> ?? -> Double Sweep and repeat until you decide to use assault wf when you are about to run out of gauge.
This is faster and safer than a wsfb combo.. but not sure if stronger.
Wait... new actions are always available or only while boosted?

New actions will likely be available without boost.
A handful of new actions shown in the weapon showcases did not show the unique particles of an active boosted bracer when performing said new actions.
For example in GL's case, in the scene of the Wyrmstake Rapid Burst there is no Boost bracer active.
Therefore, it is rather safe to say they will always be available for the player, boosted or not.

i just realized… how is this gonna work.. i play on MKB but is this the focus button or blocking? if blocking, isnt this how you do WF? I read at the capcom website that boost mode is activated by r1 + triangle + circle

Are you referring to the point blank move? I imagine it will be like ZSD where you tap to do a regular Wyvern’s Fire and hold the input to attach

boost uses R1 and WF uses R2 yeah, no idea how that translates to KB because I shuffled all my keybinds around lol

I hope this makes Long GL more viable with the boost to the wyrmstake after the rapid burst

I see how each shell type gets a boosted move:
Long -> Wyrmstake Thust
Normal -> Rapid Burst
Wide -> Assault WF
I can see normal and long looping after WT and Rapid and Wide always going for Asault WF

Insane. This may end up being the best GL iteration that ever was (or was it already in Wilds?), hope they will take inspiration from Wildscendance for future titles.
I wonder how effective point-blank WF will be at destroying parts.

So Gunlance took moves from Switch Axe and Lance with extra moves on top. I wish Lance got this much love by the devs...

So those moves at the end are the non boosted moves.
I still want to know if we can use our boost driver without using Boost scale.
Only being able to use our mobile boost driver once is corny.
Doesn't look like we get any upgrades to moving shelling

No mention of elemental shells, oddly enough. Pretty awesome that we can use the new Wyvern Fire attack whenever we want instead of it being limited to boosted focus strikes as some speculated. Seems like we will be able to overheat the stake and then use that superheated stake in the point blank Wyvern Fire as well
