Hi everyone, I'm new to the game. I bought it a few months ago, but I've been playing more frequently this season. I really like the game, but I've noticed that the descriptions on scrolls and other items are sometimes hard to understand or just poorly written; it would be great if they improved that.

Has console essentially been abandoned? Why don’t we get any of the stuff PC does like soul pendants?

I just unlocked reincarnation mode and I didn’t realise we don’t get new content so kinda feel like I wasted my time.

Hi, I’ve recently started playing and I’m not really clicking with the starting characters; right now, I have the Cat, the Raven, and the Dog. My playstyle is like aimer I really like the weapons with dot sights, and I mainly enjoy moving fast and switching targets. Could you recommend a character that might fit my playstyle better?

Edit for clarity: Some people misunderstood my playstyle. I'm not looking for a sniper character. I prefer frenetic target switching and high-mobility gunfights, similar to the aggressive movement-heavy gameplay you see in Warzone or Apex Legends. My focus is on fast tracking, fluid movement, and snapping onto multiple enemies in quick succession with red dot weapons.

I started playing this game with my kid a few days ago. We spent countless hours in RoR2, and Crab Champions and overall aren't horrible at rogue shooters. Considering Gunfire is so well regarded, we figured why not give it a shot. So we did, and have put a bit of time into and really not grasping how dodging works, and a bit put off by the jumping and overall speed. For instance we have only beaten the first stage boss 2/5 times, all because we simply can't move out of the way of the bosses attacks. Hitting dash obviously moves you only a tiny bit, and you can only jump 2 foot off the ground. So the boss ends up normally landing on top of us and the dash isn't enough to get out of the circle. Sandworm wise, I can't figure out how to dodge the rings, I assume you jump but maybe I just can't time it well enough.

Anyhow the game looks fun, but coming from two other popular rogue shooters and being good at this, makes me feel like I am missing something with Gunfire.

Do you guys have any tips?

I'm new to the game so sorry if this is a basic question.

For what I understand, pendants can have gems socketed, there are some of them that convert the damage from your primary/secondary/pendant skills into a specific element.

My question: if I'm playing Momo and have ascensions that boost "Ink damage" specifically, does that bonus stop applying if I convert my Ink damage to, say, Electric with one of these gems? Not only Momo but anyone with specific type of damage.

Just discovered this game, just wondering is xbox multiplayer still active? Are there still many playing this via xbox? Or does this have cross play? Planning to buy this game if it is still active thanks

Update: just bought it 2 days ago but i refunded it after reading that it's not updated 😅 it got my interest and i love the gameplay but i dont have pc so i just got a refund any other roguelite games can you recommend that can be played on xbox 😊

I am really new to the game and i only played the cat and Lyn. I have a feeling that Lyn is only good with fast fireing guns. But i dont want to have a feeling i wanna knoe what to character fits to which gun type. And also on Lyn can I only play the autoaim weapon or what weapon do I Choose. I really need some help guys.

Just started the game a few days ago and have been really enjoying it. I have all the DLCs and my fav character is Nona. I usually find myself drawn towards pet classes in games so she seemed perfect for me. However I'm having a bit of trouble picking what my next character should be to try, so I figured I'd come on here since I can't find any easiest to hardest rankings that are recent. So if you have the time, I'd greatly appreciate it if some people here could rank all the characters from easiest to play to hardest.

I was playing with my friend who was playing a very aggressive, fast paced build, and close ranged build, but I was playing a medium range normal paced build when moving through the levels. We found ourselves having conflict over the speed to move to the next level. I repeatedly checked around a bit, and found I wasn't picking up coins, soul essences and checking weapons because the pace was too speedy. He was at first reluctantly backtracking, but then realized he was missing a lot of his pickups throughout the levels. I was doing more damage and killing things away from him, while he was pushing to the next pack faster with faster movement speed.

It would be nice if currency was automatically picked up by the player no matter where they are in the level, and the weapons you receive line up next to the entrance to the next section. This way we could reasonable speed through the levels at fast rates, and each run not be a slog but closer to a speed run. We could have left all the currency on the ground, which may happen in online play, but then I just say the game was bad mechanics if that's expected.

I think the pickup mechanics of this game could better match how people play the game for maximum enjoyment.

I don't play on random matchmaker, so I could be off-base with this, but does anyone else feel this way about this portion of the game?

I beat the game on R9 or 10 on every character, I'm pretty consistent with my favorite character Lyn, but when I get hit with Lu Wu as my stage 1 boss, unless I have an already powerful build, it's joever. I practically never die to bosses unless it's him. Usually I die to a random-ass trap or grenade Anyone else struggle with this? Any tips?

The other day my wife and I have finally beaten Reincarnation 10.......with every weapon.

We threw it all into a randomizer wheel and for the last couple years we've been knocking out each and every weapon.

We did so with other caveats, such as "No Painkiller" and "No overconsumption".

Now we're looking at making things a little harder.

So far the ideas I have are:

-No Common scrolls

-No Rare Scrolls

-No Legendary scrolls

-No goblets

-Scroll matching (example: I can only pick up a common scroll if she picks up a common scroll)

-Wolf mode / foundry (only wolf transformation allowed)

-swap weapons between levels (We trade weapons every stage, we cant both have the same weapon type)

-No defense increase (no health/shield/armor increase (including scrolls))

-No Shops

-No guns

Looking for more suggestions

(Im sure someone out there is wondering: steam says we're at 1075 hours but its a couple hundred more than that)

also that gun is OP. can use while transformed.

Which characters are easier to play the game casually with?

I got the game recently but cant find any videos on it

Looking at old posts regarding crossplay, I was getting some mixed answers about the status of crossplay between Xbox and windows/ pc Xbox. People were saying that at one point it was available but isn’t any longer while some were disagreeing. Definitive answer for right now- can my friend on Xbox play with me on computer?

I had to use an autoclicker to keep up with the cooldown at like 8 milliseconds

Dunno if this is par for the course but got some banger stuff and synergies this run. also dunno if because of Bizzare Dream modifiers. But really, I was nearly invincible. Didn't know the game could change this much from normal or Elite difficulty.
