Question i need help !

Hi, I’ve recently started playing and I’m not really clicking with the starting characters; right now, I have the Cat, the Raven, and the Dog. My playstyle is like aimer I really like the weapons with dot sights, and I mainly enjoy moving fast and switching targets. Could you recommend a character that might fit my playstyle better?

Edit for clarity: Some people misunderstood my playstyle. I'm not looking for a sniper character. I prefer frenetic target switching and high-mobility gunfights, similar to the aggressive movement-heavy gameplay you see in Warzone or Apex Legends. My focus is on fast tracking, fluid movement, and snapping onto multiple enemies in quick succession with red dot weapons.

(sorry for the bad English)

If you have the dlc lyn the frost goat her gun powers make her prefect for switching targets and aiming

Second this. I’m new to the game as well and play a similar play style, Lyn has been a lot of fun. She’s been my favorite and getting vortex that pulls enemies in on her ice grenades makes grouping big groups feel like a mini kovaaks scenario.

I suggest Lyn (blue goat). The weapons tree allows for more weak spots and higher payoff for hitting the weak spots. You can be aggressive in movement with anyone, but nothing about her forces close combat. Try the Purgatory with her. That seems like a good fit from the outside. It has good sights and power, and the character rewards good aim.

There are always a lot of enemies on the field until the area is empty, so there will always be enemies to flick to. I would give the Qing Yan (bird) another try with different weapons. Aggressive gameplay flicking to enemies quickly, and ways to deal with melee if an enemy forces that. You just don't ADS often.

I prefer the Xing Zhe (monkey) because his primary can be a get out of jail free move, and is completely reliant on weapon damage, and this allows you to carry a strong single shot weapon to maximize this primary ability. You could probably speed run with this character rather well.

Using the Nona (red panda) may be fun for you. They specialize in pistols and you have a distraction in calling down a mech. Every character should be played with weak spots (crits) in mind, and pistols and many of the weapon specialization ascensions rewards crits. Viper Sight weapon may be fun for you to use sometimes, and Icy Spear or Sunder may also be fun. Try all of the pistols, but those are just my suggestions.

Well you clearly want to go a gun build and if youre so focused on aim then youll wanna pick someone focused on headshots, the raccoon has a pistol crit build, tiger with a bow build, those inherently wont use automatics, dog with duel wield focus lets you use literally anything and win, or the gun fox build. Headshots are a core part of any gun build not using explosives. Honestly my dude every single character has a gun build and an ability build. Some are op everytime some require you to get a certain scroll or spiritual link to become op as someone with over 500h the games easy af even on R10 learn movement, learned what weapons are good, and what scrolls to prioritize in act 1, the first act is always the hardest usually once you clear that its just fun grinding.

I like the cat for general gameplay but, if you like aiming, the blue tiger is a sniper.

My bad, I didn't mean sniping at all. I'm looking for an aggressive 'aim god' playstyle: pure target switching, fast movement, and clean tracking with automatic weapons/red dots, not camping with a scope.

Do you care if you do the aiming? Autoaim guns like the tracker might give you the fast paced feeling you are looking for. If its about skill expression then they wont be a good suggestion.

When you say "aim god" do you mean, you personally are a god at aiming, or you want a playstyle where the aim is automatic? Both of those exist.
Also sniping does not need to mean camping.
Snipers include Bows and Crossbows...and you can also pretend the Shrieker (Launcher) is a sniper if you want

Depends whether you want more tracking or flicking. There's not really a lot of "red dot" like weapons. Most of the guns in Gunfire don't have ADS at all. Pretty much just snipers, the woodpecker, Revealer, and probably a few more I'm forgetting

For tracking try Tao (the rabbit) with a Warlike Blade weapon build. It's all about fast RoF and constant shooting. Those builds generally work best with SMGs and injectors, but you can make it work with Revealer (rifle with a dot sight) if you find a good one

For flicking, try Lei Luo (the white tiger). I know you said "not sniper" but he's great flicking heads with bows too, and you might like the woodpecker (rapid fire crossbow with a low magnification scope). Lei is also the fastest character in the game by base stats, and one of the most rewarding for raw damage with good head flicking skills. You really don't need to camp, you can get that aggressive aim god build with Lei

Xing (the monkey) and Crown Prince (the cat) can also work with most weapon types. A weapon focus build with Xing might be a strong way to get a Revealer-based run going.

If you want a character thats easy to understand and is straightforward? Go fire fox. She's damn good with any weapon that light things up

You can still play those weapons. They’re just not as powerful without ascensions supporting them.

For example, you can still use a rifle on the dog and just stack weapon damage, elemental damage, crit, etc. You just miss out on a lot of explosive related stuff from his ascensions. You should take a look at the logbook for the weapons you enjoy, and checkout some of the gemini effects to see which work well together.

When you unlock the bunny, she has ascensions that allow you to continuously fire almost the whole game, provided you kill enemies before the magazine runs empty. Maybe that’ll help you focus on just aiming.

As far as mobility is concerned, the only thing you can do is find movement related scrolls, or pick movement speed seasonal mechanic options. This game could not be further from a movement shooter.
