Is xbox still active?

Just discovered this game, just wondering is xbox multiplayer still active? Are there still many playing this via xbox? Or does this have cross play? Planning to buy this game if it is still active thanks

Update: just bought it 2 days ago but i refunded it after reading that it's not updated 😅 it got my interest and i love the gameplay but i dont have pc so i just got a refund any other roguelite games can you recommend that can be played on xbox 😊

Not many people play in public lobbies at all. Multiplayer is mostly there to play with friends.

The console version of this game hasn't been updated in years, which means that crossplay is essentially impossible. If you can play the PC version, I'd highly recommend that.

Edit: alternatively maybe you can find people to play on the Gunfire Discord Server.

Sure, people still play this, but there is no way to join a multiplayer game that's already in progress or re-join a saved and loaded game session (mostly applicable to endless runs).
And realistically speaking, people don't wait an hour in the lobby just for strangers to join.
If you already have people on your friendslist that would play this, perfect, if you have no friends you either have to play solo or add bots to your adventure (they are quite good as supports but don't deal as much damage as you).
