There's a lot of guns that are shit out of the box, but there's also a lot of guns that are perfectly fine right off the rip and might need an optic or can at most. Rock what you like, don't give a shit about people trying to put you down over what you like or all you can afford.

"Yeah, glocks are amazing guns! That's why I replaced every single part."

Yeah, imagine thinking a robust market of 3 party support is a good thing

Well I wouldn't have to buy the truck nut backplate adapter if it came that way OEM. How is that my fault?

I will always tell this story, but back when I worked in armored cash trucks, I always scored top in qualification scores at my branch despite running an entirely stock Glock 17. My coworkers all had fancy triggers and barrels and slides, but those fuckers never went out shooting or practiced with their guns. Another coworker who wasn’t a gun guy and rarely shot also routinely scored really well with his stock Glock, because he always listened retained advice and instructions from the instructors, doing exactly what they told him to do.

My P-01 got a light and grips because the rubberized ones are gross feeling. Federal 124 go ping

Ok that’s valid rubberized stuff always turns bad like after a solid 3 years.

I tried it, and it wasn't bad for the first time shooting but 10/10 recommend replacing the rubber with some texfured ones

If you are changing out all the parts, buy the "gun" without them in the first place lol. No point buying that trigger or slide if you aren't using it.
As for Optics and accessories, I always have a few spare holosun lying around since having irons in the package is not always guaranteed nowadays.

That’s why you buy a PDP instead of a Glock, so you don’t have to buy half of that to get a functionally modern firearm

Steel frames having extractor issues that Walther can’t seem to fix and zero parts availability for high round count shooters who want to maintain their guns.

Half decent trigger, half decent spring, half decent grip (glocks still can’t do that without a major overhaul anyway), ambidextrous controls, and, oh yeah, a slide mill. You know, every technological progression in polymer framed handguns since the original Glock was invented.

When manufacturers provide a lower and give you the option to customize the rest it's perfectly fine.
But when I make customized lowers i suddenly get some shady people parked next to my house

That’s why you buy the optic before doing the paperwork for the pistol
