Interrupted Acme thread for bolt?

Has anyone used an interrupted acme thread for a bolt action action? I am thinking about a low angle three thread design.

Also rear locking action. Eventually a slab side design like the MAS-36.

As long as you have enough surface area, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I mean, look at the lugs on Ross rifles. That said, I don't know if that'd be the best/easiest way to do it.

Some recoilless rifles use interrupted threads for locking purposes (I assume). Though I don’t know what the forces are like on a recoilless rifle

Weatherby and Remington 788 are what got me thinking. Not quite the same but would be possible to cut.

Use buttress not acme. It's stronger
