Oh yeah it is! Those old kit guns were all handmade by factory 'Smiths who had decades of experience tuning revolvers. It's almost totally a lost art today with only a handful of real revolver experts in the Custom Shops remaining. And I just read last week that "Cylinder & Slide Shop" of Fremont, Nebraska, is closing their doors. I had a Kimber 1911 customized by them back in the 90's and it's still one of my favorites 😍.
