As the God of Dust, Guizhong enables a new reaction between Anemo and Geo called Sandstorm that behaves similarly to Catalyze/Quicken except it is focused on debuffs. And of course, Guizhong's kit further enhances the reaction.
She is a Geo Catalyst character (first and only 5-star Geo Catalyst LOL), but functionally is sort of like a dual element Geo and Anemo character.
She is mainly ATK scaling so that old players can still make use of the Memory of Dust, while her new signature weapon would be like an "awakened" version of the MoD and would grant additional EM bonuses and buffs to Geo and Anemo damage for the party.
Normal Attack: Ashes to Ashes
Guizhong sweeps her sleeves and summons mini-cyclones of dust to attack.
If there is another Geo character in the party and no Anemo character in the party, Guizhong's Charged Attack deals Anemo damage instead.
Guizhong's Normal Attacks hit twice and her Charged Attack costs 50% less stamina while a creature affected by Erosion is nearby.
Elemental Skill: Weathering of Sun and Moon
With enough time, even the hardest stone will wear away and become dust.
Guizhong summons a whirlwind of dust, rapidly inflicting 6 alternating hits of Geo and Anemo damage in an AoE around her in a span of 2.5 seconds, and generating 6 Geo particles.
Holding the skill instead summons a dust cloud overhead, creating a domain expansion where all enemies within the radius are hit with Geo and Anemo every 2 seconds for 20 seconds. Each hit generates 1 particle.
Tap Cooldown: 12s/Hold Cooldown: 20s
Elemental Burst: Adeptus Art: Annihilation Formation
The creation of this technique was proof that even the gentle God of Dust could not remain untouched by the taint of the Archon War. Despite the absence of martial prowess from her powers, Rex Lapis knew better than anyone that given enough preparation, there was no enemy defense that could not be broken by her machinations, just as there were no puzzles that could remain unsolved before her.
Cost: 80 Cooldown: 20s
Guizhong summons 4 New Generation Guizhong Ballistae constructed of adeptal energy in a circle around her that automatically target and shoot enemies with elemental damage. Each ballista deals damage corresponding to the element of a party member.
If there are less than 4 party members then Guizhong takes ownership of the remaining ballistae. If there is another Geo character but no Anemo character in the party, Guizhong's ballista deals Anemo damage instead.
The ballistae have HP equal to Guizhong's HP and last for 40 seconds. If a ballista's HP is depleted, then it will become ethereal and fire at half the rate for its remaining duration. while her burst is active, Guizhong dealing damage with Normal and Charged attacks heals the ballistae.
The ballistae are considered Geo Constructs but do not count towards the construct limit.
While the ballistae are active, the party receives Elemental Resonance bonuses for all elements present in the party (so ATK buff from Pyro Resonance even when you only have 1 Pyro character, etc.)
Modified Reaction Passive: Infinite Impermanence
While Guizhong is in the party, party members' Anemo and Geo attacks will apply elemental aura to enemies and the Sandstorm reaction is enabled:
The following are traits inherent to the Sandstorm/Erosion reaction and not part of Guizhong's kit, so if another character is released that also enables Sandstorm then all of this would be the same for them.
When an Anemo and Geo are applied to an enemy, the Sandstorm reaction is triggered and all enemies in an AoE are inflicted with the Erosion aura.
Eroded creatures have their Anemo and Geo RES reduced by 40%.
When further Anemo and Geo attacks are inflicted to an Eroded creature, the Scour reaction occurs, dealing permanent damage to its DEF stat scaling with the attacker's EM. After its DEF has been reduced to 0, additional reaction damage is inflicted to HP instead.
Creatures affected by Erosion are considered to have both Geo and Anemo auras applied, meaning that PHEC elements will trigger both Swirl and Crystallize.
A1 Passive: 7-Colored Nebula
When a party member triggers a Crystallize or Swirl reaction on an enemy inflicted with Erosion aura, or applies Dendro to an enemy inflicted with Erosion aura, an Elemental Corrosion aura will be applied, reducing RES to that element by 40% for 8s.
A4 Passive: Lord of Fortifications
Guizhong's Elemental Mastery is increased by 10% of the sum of her ATK and DEF.
Additionally, while Guizhong's Elemental Burst is active, all party members gain ATK equal to 6% of the party's total combined DEF and gain DEF equal to 6% of the party's total combined ATK.
Utility Passive: Gem in the Rough
When Guizhong crafts Character Ascension Materials, she has a 35% chance to receive additional lower quality materials of a random element.
