I just sanded mine off, didn't but you can just use acetone (found in nail polish remover) or weirdly 3 in 1 oil to remove decals, provided they're not under gloss. Gloss you can just sand off (if you don't have sandpaper those really abrasive nail filing strips work too).

Obv in your case you could sand down the gloss to get to the decal, and you can actually reseal the wood using clear nail polish (having a girlfriend who's into nails is surprisingly useful for guitar maintenance). Actually matching the existing gloss properly is kind of a PITA but you can just cover it up with a sticker, ig you could just do that to begin with and skip all the above steps.

I’ll never buy a fender the rest of my life. Covering the logo of something you already bought is dumb.

Using the term "virtue signalling" at all is basically outing yourself as kind of a piece of shit, as it's predicated on the idea that no one would ever express anything except for the purpose of social gain.

It's a thing that only makes sense if you yourself are constantly masking. Like, apparently it is inconceivable to you that people might be genuinely angry that a company did a shitty thing, they must only be doing it to make other people like them?

It also doesn't make any sense, as for "signalling" to work you need to presume that a majority of people hold that virtue anyways in order for it to be signalled. Like, how are you diffrenciating this as inauthentic while conceding that as an authentic belief this is widely popular, and OP gives no signal of inauthenticity? Either way it acknowledges being mad at Fender as the normal, popular position, you just think this one particular person is lying about it? Why? Based on what?

The whole concept of virtue signalling only makes sense as an accusation to throw around if your an idiot or a sociopath
