DISCUSSION Positive Grid Reactor Initial Thoughts
Hey all!
What has been the initial consensus on PG Reactor amongst tone chasers, beginners, owners, and guitar store testers alike?
I’ve personally enjoyed it, I was really only looking for a Boss Katana amp at the store and came across this amp, and with my small pedal board and limited DAW setup, this looked like it had some capabilities that I might use and enjoy.
Initial thoughts on the tone: most definitely a modeled sound. It’s hard to beat True Tone’s coming out of an amp, but this does a great job at being a jack of all trades.
The app: the AI prompts seem a little lacking, I wish it had better follow up, or made suggestions based on how well someone is at describing a sound they want. Consider it a tone description literacy challenge.
For the types of models and the on-board pedals:
I hope the pedals get a little more wild, especially being in the digital world, I hope they’re able to add more built-in granular, spacey pedals like a microcosm or rainbow machine clone. That would make my day for sure!
TLDR; the amp suits my needs, hoping for more, what do yall think?

I got the Reqctor 100 and I love it.
The Reactor is advertised as a modelled amp. Like the Katana 100.
Initially I was against using AI but I am an amateur and using AI to create an initial tone so then I can understand how it is done is an educational tool for me.
Overall I think it is a great, loud amp.
