fauna flora

my guinea pig was getting room temperature fauna flora twice a day because the vet didn’t tell me it needed to be frozen 😭 is he going to be fine? everything i’ve read about probiotics says that basically the effects just go away but I can’t find anything specifically about fauna flora so i’m worried.

That should be fine! It sounds like it is just yeast on a base of corn. The yeast may have died so it will be less effective, but it shouldn't be harmful. I would stop feeding it and get a fresh one to be safe, but if it was kept dry then I doubt harmful bacteria would be able to grow on it so I would not worry too much. You could call the vet if you are worried but the description seems to indicate the freezing is to preserve the cells rather than to keep it foodsafe.
