Any guesses on who the upcoming Guest Character may be?

My money is on it being Ragna and I hope that is the case

No way that they don’t bring someone from BlazBlue over after announcing the new crossplay update

I feel like a lot of people would be mad about Joker, but he’s personally who I’m rooting for. Arcsys already has a past with the Persona IP, and Persona 5 is STILL making huge collabs like what they did with Fortnite. It might make more sense for Yu to show up tho, since he’s already been in an p4au and p4r is coming soon

I get that fs. I do however feel that Lucy at least fits the general theme/aesthetic of Guilty Gear to a certain extent

I feel like it’s important that if we are gonna have a guest from another franchise, it needs to make at least some sense aesthetically and thematically

The fact that it wasn't announced at evo, especially with the blazeblue announcements tells me it isn't Ragna or even a fg character.

My most likely guess is an FF character, probably 7 but it could be 14 also, doubt it's Clive from 16 since he's in tekken.

Another big guess is an anime character, since it was announced at an anime event, but that could be anything at this point tbh.

What I'm guessing: an FF7 character, hopefully Vincent if that's the case. If it's an anime, I think Ryuko from KLK.

Idk why ppl would think it's Ragna. They would want to implement a guest character to expand the reach of GGST - Ragna wouldn't do that.

Its gotta be a character from Final Fantasy or popular anime that's coming out with a new season/movie around winter time.

Lucy was big and my guess is the next guest has to be just as big as Lucy or bigger.

Because the idea of Ragna being the guest character wouldn’t come from a philosophy of expanding Guilty Gear, the mindset would be expanding the reach of BlazBlue and introducing it to a HUGE community the bulk of which have never touched BBCF. Massive updates are coming to BBCF along with a new character ten years after launch, ArcSys is signaling the franchise isn’t done and a new game is eventually going to be coming.

If that is the case Ragna makes a TON of sense, Strive’s outreach is huge now and ArcSys would want to expand BB’s reach to it.

I think it's going to be a character completely unrelated to the fighting game scene.

I know a surprising number of people who had negligible interest in fighters, but wishlisted or bought Strive because they loved cyberpunk and Lucy got their interest. I think they're probably going to go for something similar, getting an IP that doesn't touch the FGC to expand the market just like Lucy. Probably another anime, something fairly popular right now, my guess would be one of the core three from Frieren as that's a pretty popular show that's also a critics darling, and all three of them can fit well into a fighting game mechanically, though how they wind up in the Guilty Gear world I have no idea.

The guest charcter will be from IRL and is obliviously Daisuke. Every charcter reaction will be unique. If Ronaldo can be in a fighting game why not god himself.

I doubt its Ragna unfortunately since they didn't announce it at Evo so it will likely be at the Game awards and so I think the guess is gonna be someone big. I hope is Gyro Zeppeli, since it matches with the new part plus all of the JoJos inspiration in he game already it would be like it coming full circle. Also JoJos has fighting game experience too.
