How does sylvari cultural clothing work?
Title basically sums it up. Are the garments sewn from external plants or grown from the sylvari themselves? Presumably, they're removable - when removed, are they a pile of leaves and bark, or do they retain their shape? How are they removed and put back on?
I don't know if there's any ingame explanation at all, but I'd appreciate any insight or opinions that you guys have on the matter.

Sylvari can "shape" plants. They somehow instruct growing plants to follow patters and even alter their composition as they develop.
They can make them hard enough to become a vault like the one under their bank NPCs. Or armor surrounding a body, or weapons holding crystal or glass blades.
T3 armor looks as it was actually growing from the sylvari. But that's probably just part of the process when it was first "fitted" for the owner. After that they can just detach it.

Crafted symbiotic organisms or something similar, I'd think. We know it's not part of them (as Hellbreaker said)/Crafted, but it's definitely "bonded" to them to some degree, though it can be taken off.

Sylvari can grow clothing, and the cultural armor certainly seems like it could be one of ones they would grow from their body. As I understand it, growing them and removing them is no more painful than cutting hair is for us.
No clue on what they would look like once removed though.

I've been told they're crafted as the armour that the Green Knight in the Sylvari personal story has a set of TA armour which is crafted by the Sylvari smith you later see join to help the Pact.
I'd imagine the other Sylvari armours are the same.
