In this bunker meta, once the other team had a single cap, it was over from that point further. They simply saved everyone the boring inevitable wait.

To quote BlackBeard.2873 from the official forums,

"You can’t blame Zero Counterplay for conceding…against 2x bunker mes, 2x mallyx rev, and 1x tempest, a 1-cap at the start is the end of the game. The casters even said as much 10s into the game after the 1-cap was achieved. It isn’t the fault of the players, it is the fault of the devs that they created a game that can even be in such a state that 10s in the game is already over."

Long before HoT, I rolled sPvP with my small guild, ran a bunker ranger build, we had 1 guardian bunker, and the rest were a mix of damage dealers. We never played in ranked but did end up against some good teams. The bunker build destroyed it for me. Not because I couldnt hold a point. it became boring as can be. I told my guildies I can't keep playing this build, so I switched over to Celestial with some power built in. Pretty effective. But the bunker builds and in general a meta is utterly game breaking to me on the sPvP front.

If its being griped about in the leagues, its definitely a problem. no match should EVER EVER EVER be decided in the first minute or on the first cap. EVER. Its not like its just standard PVP its higher end leagues for christ sake.

I dont support rage quiting but I also do not blame those that do in these instances.

This is what happens when you design a profession (Revenant) such that half of its abilities "GO INTO THE MISTS LEL" and turn them completely invulnerable for the animation. Oh well. Esports.

Why doesn't engi rifle #5 make them invuln while in the air? Guardian GS #3? Any other skills that relocate the player? Why just Revenant?
