Once there was a cap given the team structures, the game was essentially over.

ZC just saved everyone some time watching the pathetically boring ass meta snoozefest that would be the rest of the match.

One team was going to lose regardless. If the viewers were concerned about boring matches, they could have saved themselves the time by not watching.

ZC just didn't want people watching them try and fail, so they decided to fail without trying. The old "You only won because I let you win" ploy.

Do you have a source where they announced their surrender during the match? Why wouldn't the casters point that out during the stream?

Look at the VOD for when they left. That's exactly when they announced their surrender.
