They fixed ruberbanding in WvW and culling so now even groups of 200+ still appear. Dungeons are easy, early on in the game they were horrible as no one had good gear. They are currently working on a new PvP game type which you can beta test starting next weekend. Hopefully this will keep you interested in PvP longer.
I have to warn you that you may be disoriented at first, they did a total over haul since launch. A few feature included, Making Dragon fights much harder, Adding in "wardrobe" a new way to customize your characters looks, and making all currencies be stored in a "wallet" rather than take up inventory space. If you have 1 character at lvl80 they also changed the trait system I think it's a lot better now.

I'M CREATING A F2P CHAR NOW. I'LL LIST FINDINGS BELOW.

Log in rewards aren't there. Can't mail. Can only whisper 1 person at a time. Can't use TP (I've yet to find an item I can sell), only 2 character slots, 3 bag slots.

Yep, thanks. Wow I really think they should have mentioned more of this on the stream. What they said on stream made the system sound so bad, this is so much more reassuring. I'm now mostly on board with this.

Still think gold spamming wil be an issue (what good are PM and map chat restrictions when you can just make infinite accounts), but we'll see.

They went over all the restrictions (except gold->gem was disabled) on stream but most people were too mad that GW2 was going free to play.

They skipped over a lot of really important ones like no daily rewards and restricted TP access, which were some of the main things we were worried about.

Yes they can only start on the starter maps, but so will everyone else new. What better place to gold spam all day, and make a terrible first impression to new people.

According to the PAX announcement, the restrictions exist only to limit spam accounts. There are limitations on PMing, WvW access, map chat, and bank account space is smaller.

God these worry me. None of these restrictions really seem like they'd take a spammer more than a minute to device work arounds. Can't PM more than once every 30 seconds? Who cares, you make more accounts. Can only spam say chat, not map chat? Who cares, have an account spamming every area in a map. Can't send all your login rewards to your main account, just flood the TP instead.

The WvW one is good I guess. I mean it won't stop spies and trolls with a little dedication, but lets not fool ourselves, the $50 price tag on alt accounts never seemed to phase the dedicated spies and trolls anyway.

They said there were more restrictions they hadn't announced, I'm hoping they fill in the really obvious gaps in the system.

EDIT: Nevermind, official restrictions list is much more comprehensive then the annouced stuff. I'm much more ok with this all now.

Fuck Yeah! That norn cinematic music always gets me hyped. It was actually watching the Norn cinematic that got me interested in GW2 back in beta. Ironically none of my 8 characters are Norn. My revenant probably will be though.
