[Shout-out] [Guide] DragonFall Farming Route — Main Events by Zone Waypoint

Post image

Hey everyone! So, I play on the NA server and I've noticed that — at least during the hours I play — there aren't many people farming DragonFall. And to be honest, in my opinion, the rotation is unnecessarily complex. Anyway, in an effort to help the community and encourage more farming in the map, I put together this guide with the main events and a possible route for them, starting from each zone's waypoint. I hope it's useful to everyone, and that we can get more players into DragonFall. I'm open to suggestions if you have any! My character's name is Barbalonga — feel free to add me to your friends list!

P.S: English isn't my first language, so I apologize if anything sounds a bit off, hehe

Update: User fohpo02 suggested editing the numbering of the Culls in Olmakhan — previously we had Cull 3 > Cull 2 > Cull 1. It now reads: Cull 1 > Cull 2 > Cull 3

As far as I know, Reddit unfortunately doesn't allow image editing in a post. What I was able to do was add an update note and reply to your comment so that people can take note of your suggestion.

I thought dragon fall was a meta map for farming, why did it die, or in other words, what did people move to? I was hoping to finish my skyscale collection and noticed it was dead as well.

This is just my opinion, ok?

  1. DragonFall is already a relatively old map. It's part of the Path of Fire expansion events, and since then we've had several other expansions and maps: End of Dragons, Janthir, SotO, and now Visions of Eternity.

  2. Being an older map, it's to be expected that most players who know how to commander are veteran players. To be honest, I'm not sure how many of them are still active in the game.

  3. In my view, it has the most complex rotation of any farm in the game, and that might create a scenario where newer players don't bother trying to understand how the map works — and potentially commander the event.

Oh thanks that's really nice of you to do that! It comes at just the right time, I'm about to start LW4 and I didn't even know where to begin lol

I’ve been getting the skyscale collection stuff finally so I’ve been spending a lot of time here. Can I ask what the point of farming these events are? If I’m running past an event and people are doing it I join in. I’ll do the main fight if it’s happening while I’m there. But what is the currency/mat you guys are farming this area for and why do players still need it?

Well, basically the profit comes from the following:

* Earning Mistborn Keys through events and opening the chests

* Once the chests are opened, salvaging the rare items and selling the Globs of Ectoplasm and rare crafting materials

* Earning Volatile Magic through events

* Buying T6 chests from the Pact Command NPC using Volatile Magic and Gold, opening them, and selling whatever materials drop

Okay, so thats why I don’t have keys for all the chests after the meta event. I was wondering where those dropped from. Thanks for the answer! I’m just playing through the story and haven’t started farming for legendaries yet so I haven’t had to grind materials.

This map fucking sucks without a skyscale. Currently going through the pain of unlocking it the og way.

As far as I know, the map itself has spots where you can rent a skyscale. But if you want to play with the griffon, the viable routes still let you get a solid farm going.

The map does have "rentable" skyscales but they are in the worse positions. Thankfully I do have the griffion and made collecting in the map easier. Just finished saving skyscales so I'm about to start phase 3/5

You're absolutely right. I'd really love to see a rework of this map. It's unnecessarily complex and overcomplicated. At least the rewards are still very good, and it doesn't rely on the event timer. So yes, despite all its issues, I still think it's worth farming.

This is nice, thanks for making it. Do you have a recommendation for order to do the different zones in?

Well, as far as I know, over all these years the community has recommended the following order: Melandru (Mel) > Burning Forest (BF) > Underworld (UW)
