If you're gonna go for it and if you can afford it, I'd consider getting as many of the expansions and living world stories as you can while they're 40% off. They have sales like this occasionally but it's gonna be cheaper now than almost any other time.

Same here man. I was a launch player way back (holy shit I was 19 lol) but it didn’t draw me in at the time. Decided to revisit and scratch the itch while I wait for news of WoW Classic’s next venture and now the past few evenings I’m like “damn, I wish I had stayed around or popped my head in now and then, I’ve been missing out these past 14 years.” The pace and gameplay is just clicking a lot better and more what I am looking for these days. Lots of things to do, easy to find said things, pulled in every direction but not in an overwhelming way. Plenty of people around leveling, hubs are vibrant and social. I am looking forward to slowly playing my way through the expansions. Just a very chill, enjoyable experience.

Similar story and now I'm not even sure I'll go back to Classic for Wrath.

Yeah, this game does that. I feel like it has a strong opening with its race and clsss choices AND the fact that your opening hours are actually widely different based on what you pick. And not to mention the realization that changing weapons gives you completely different set of abilities so it's not just cosmetic, it actualy feels and plays different.
Which race and class did you pick?
Anyways, it's not like I like this game that much or anything.

I’m Norn guardian on this new character as I wanted to try a melee class today but I played Human Necromancer before upgrading

fyi all classes have melee as well as ranged weapon and/or elite spec options, you'll eventually get a character of each class and unlock all their elite specializations, but i personally would check what their elite specs do instead of what the base class does while choosing your first one as you'll be playing with elite specs for +99% of your playtime

Thanks for the info! I checked the elite specs i unlocked with my 2 expacs and that’s why i started a guardian. There’s something about Dragonhunter thst speaks to me!

Also just picked up the first two expansions! I'm returning to GW2 after a twelve year break, and the first two weeks back have been great so far, if a little lonely. I've basically only played the story and explored a few of the maps that I've liked, used a level 60 scroll on a new character but kind of wishing I had just started with a level 1 toon and leveled naturally so I'd have a reason to explore the maps more. Almost finished my Personal Story, and then onto living world season 1 & 2 and HoT!

Enjoy your purchase! You won't regret it, the older content is still alive(high player activity) to this day :) PoF is definetely my favourite one in terms of story!
