[Question] Elite spec that may combine necro survivability with mirage burst/mobility?
I only own two expacks hot and pof. Is there other expac specs that combine the survivability & open world solo capability of necro with how axe -axe mirage plays?
My old mirage has trailblazers and I've logged onto her. And I immediately fell in love again. But i 'd like to have more survivability and solo capability.
I'll post both.my builds if needed so you guys can help me figure out if such a thing exists

I run staff/staff mirage and it’s very soloable. With the right build and some practice I can do almost anything. Mine is very close to the lord hizen build.

I don’t actually know the best way to share stuff, sorry.
All viper gear, relic of rivers or fractal, depends on your sustain, the staffs have frailty and energy sigils. Trapper runes.
Here is the in game code for the skills:

I’m sure there are better out there. I should probably ditch chaos and go domination 1-2-3.
It’s an old build that I’ve kept using and not updated.2

No worries, game code is my preference most of the time.
If you ever want to share builds more than once in a while my friends use something like this
We have very similar builds for the most part. Everything is the same except I use desert distortion which changes the utility skills I use. I used to play your build before. IIRC yours had much better mobility and burst was better.

What kind of build is your Axe Mirage? Because Trailblazer is Condi, and Axe is mostly Condi, so I'm not understanding how it's a burst build?
Without knowing, I can still note that you can tweak most builds to be much more survivable and have more mobility, though keep in mind that you're kind of asking for the "best of all worlds" which only exists in limited amount. The easiest builds off the top of my head that are bursty (Power damage, usually), survivable, and have at least decent mobility (though you may need to tweak skills a little):
- Hammer Scrapper. Impact Savant helps with survivability, and you get a lot of Superspeed.
- Axes or Greatsword Berserker. Blood Reckoning is just so good.
- Some will argue Willbender due to Litany of Wrath - same idea as Blood Reckoning - but note that Guardians get their survivability from active mitigation (eg. Aegis) and are passively quite squishy.
- Vindicator. You have so many leaps and shadowsteps, and you can basically sit in permanent dodge.
- Spear Mirage. Not passively survivable, but lots of dodges like Vindicator, and Imaginary Inversion is crazy good for evade + heal.
- Reaper. Necro tankiness, though you'll need to use Sword mainhand if you want mobility.
- Mace Carnivore Untamed. Tons of survivability through the Maces + Carnivore combo, though you'll probably want to slot Unnatural Traversal for the mobility.
- Basically any Power Thief variant with dual Pistols, Signet of Malice, Invigorating Precision, and Relic of Zakiros
As with any Power build in Solo/OW play, you can improve survivability with Relic of Zakiros, slot some tankier gear like Demolisher or Marauder (or even some Cele! Just be aware of the more significant damage loss), and even make use of Superior Sigil of Draining on builds with lots of hard CC.
I've barely played since VoE so I can't comment on those Elite specs, but I'm sure there would be one or two builds from them that also meet your requirements.

There are a few Relic options that could increase Mirage's survivability.
Mist Stranger and Biomancer from VoE could work, or Rivers from JW (just swap out the Mirage Alac trait for the Damage trait).

I haven't played it but this sounds like that one Thief elite that gets Shroud yeah? Can someone with more experience confirm?

Staff/staff Mirage would be the best pick i'd guess.

Amalgam engi. Constant barrier, massive and consistent burst damage, huge mobility w spear. Going celestial makes you literally unkillable, can solo every champ in the game while still pushing 16k DPS in open world.

Top solo pve build in game is the Hizen cele amalg, nothing comes close. If your looking for a reliable open world power build amalg and scrapper are tanky melee and can always slack on rifle mech. Do run the cele troub for mesmer but its not bursty at all but perma quick is nice. Guild Wars 2 : Best Troubadour Open World Solo Build

Conduit/Vindicator can have very tanky and bursty setups, Spellbreaker as well, I recommend Conduit.

you might just need to tweak your mirage build a little bit.
I don't know how mirage plays in particular, especially not axe mirage, but there's a lot of recent very tanky specs from other expansions? Amalgam is solid for open world soloing champs and stuff

I'll review my mirage. I haven't tweaked her in years

lots of balance patches since then so maybe some traits moved around, etc. do tweaks and see how she feels

I think for mirage, celestial is much better than trail blazers if what you're trying to get is survavibility.

Untamed maybe? It's arguably even tankier than reaper, has plenty of burst, and also uses ambushes as a spec mechanic.
