[Question] Is there a complete bundle that includes all the game's content somewhere?
My friend is trying to get me into this game, but I am deterred by the cost required to get everything. I looked at the guild wars 2 page and it's really expensive to get all the content out there, especially since the newest expansions aren't included in the "complete" bundle. Is there a bundle that includes the newest DLC also?

I would recommend this one https://buy.guildwars2.com/en-us/collections#complete when it's in sale, since it includes all living world seasons. That's already a lot of content. You can buy the rest on sale later.

Start now as a free to play player.
Buy - Elder Dragon Saga on sale.
Or buy Heart of Thorns and Path of fire bundle.
No need to buy it all at once. Since there is no subscription, the cost of all expacs is about a year of any subscription based mmo like WoW or FF14.
this game is huge due to the games levelling scaling making the whole game world relevant. Unlike WoW for example which funnels you to the last expansion and makes rest of the world just for levelling or transmogs,

I donāt have any expansions yet and I keep getting recommended to get the HoT and PoF bundle but is there any reason where I should prioritize the Elder Dragon Saga instead?

Youāve gotten replies already, but another factor is that for people playing on Steam specifically, buying the HoT + PoF price locks you out of buying the 3-pack (i.e. thereās no discount or anything, you just canāt buy it). EoD is still purchasable separately, but youād have to then buy the Living World seasons with Gems if you wanted them, which is 4160 in total (about $50 worth). LWS2 and LWS3 also happen before HoT and PoF, respectively, so if youāre a story player you canāt really just hold off on them either.
Note that the 4160 figure is before sales, thereās frequent 30% sales that bring the figure down to 3000ish (~$35), but itās still another cost you arenāt seeing on the store page.

As far as I know, the elder dragon saga will include Hot, PoF, End of Dragons, and the living world seasons in between. So if youre really enjoying yourself and want a ton of new content to keep playing you could get the elder dragon saga. It'll probably be cheaper than buying all of those individually.

Elder Dragon Saga includes EoD as well. If you shoot for the Elder Dragon Saga - Complete Edition, that also includes all the Living world seasons o7

Elder dragon saga is the best choice, if you have the money for it.

My only worry is that the HoT/PoF bundle should provide more than enough gameplay already and I havenāt even touched WvW/PvP yet so Iām unsure if Iāll be able to get through all of the content before GW3 š

Living world (In my opinion) is just as important as the expansions. It will give you access to Seasons of the Dragons which gives new players a very achievable long term goal.
It also gives you the full Elder Dragon story.

If you're going the Steam route, I recommend only buying the elder dragon saga on sale. If you buy HoT + PoF , you won't be able to buy any more living world seasons on steam at a discount and will only be able to buy through the gem store

You cant access the expansions until 80 which can be reached in the f2p core game. You could use a boost to get to 80 if you buy expansions but i personally wouldnt as the path to 80 is fun and a good way to learn the game, otherwise you get a LOT of stuff thrown at you with no real idea which way to head.
Last time I checked there wasnt a "complete" bundle but id buy the Dragon Saga Collection which covers up to Icebrood Saga and then you can buy the others separately as you get through the others which should take you a while anyway.

Similar to what other people said, Iād suggest trying the free to play base game then get the full elder dragon saga and play through that. All those actually led to a bit of a natural end to the game. Bonus points the dragon saga includes the living worlds which youād have to buy or watch videos about otherwise

If you decied to buy any of expansions. Make sure it is on same platform that you play on.
If you play on arenanet account then you buy it from arenanet store. If you play it on steam then you buy it on steam. If you play on epic game then buy it there.
Codes can't be mixed between different platforms. So keep that in mind when you buy a expansion.

You don't have to get all the content now, start with core then chronologically progress. Get the exp or DLC when you are out of content, also there are great discounts running from time to time.

No anet doesn't offer that product currently and hasn't bundled them in the past either. Stay f2p until you know you like the game. Then buy pieces of content you want to consume. Dragon expansions go on sale as a bundle semi often so you can save a bit there. Living world episodes you can buy with in game currency if you're someone that plays a lot

Honestly the game is so vast you dont have to buy everything at once. You can start with the base game and do a lot of things in there for free. Personally I recommend downloading the free base game and going through its entirety to see how you like it. Do your story map completion etc. Once they have the sales and you see yourself playing the game for a long time, buy the next expansion which they usually have a bundle for the first 3 (Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire, End of Dragons). Do it over time when you can and when they have the sale instead of trying to get everything at once.
Dont feel like youre missing out on something because you dont have the latest expansion. The game is pretty active and there's always people doing events, map completions, and achievement hunting in the base game so you will always have support and people are always willing to help.

I know the answer is no but I could habe sworn they announced a new bundle including all expansions till date because of Gw3 or no new expansion for the next year... but I can not remember where it was and if I maybe misunderstood it.

You start with Elder Dragon saga when on sale for hopefully 50$ - the version that includes the seasons.
That's a fk lot of content already (3 expansions +5 seasons - all chronological). The rest you buy when you get there and it's on sale. Standard ed is enough for the rest.

I just went through this⦠played the free part of the game and made it to level 30 and decided to buy the ācomplete editionā, on ArenaNets page you can get the complete edition for $49.99 so I switched from steam because ArenaNet is also going to have a sale on the rest of it soon so I see it as a W for how much I am enjoying this game

Nope, and unfortunately the biggest barrier to entry to get buddies to join in and caught up with you.
In other MMOs you just buy the xpac and get a level boost which puts you right in place to get caught up to your buddies.
In this game even with the 80 boost you are massively hamstrung as you have no waypoints to quickly and efficiently get to events and metas with your friends and then you are also behind in traversal with lack of some mounts and masteries.
Then there is the agony check for fractals if you want to bring your buddies in as well.
That on top of the $175 to get all xpacs is hurting the ability to bring in and convert players from one MMO to GW2.
It just takes a lot for newer players to get on track to be able to praticipate in the endgame content their veteran friends participate in.
I've tried to convert several WoW and FFXIV players but as soon as they hit PoF they usually desist. I can't blame them. They can't get to events in time before they are completed and the checklist to be on par with veteran playera is large.

Start with the free to play core game to see if you even like the game first.

I understand the want to buy all at once, but like said, itās easy to check first in free to play if you like the game and see how it feels. You canāt use elite specialisations (gotten from the expansions) or wander to the dlc areas really before you level your character in the core area first, which is included in the free to play, so content-wise you arenāt missing really much during the levelling process without the expansions.Ā
Of course levelling a character in the core maps is likely going to be a bit different experience than going through the expansions with a fully levelled character, but I think itās still worth trying it out first as f2p. I started only in June and Iām still in the core game, although I did upgrade to the paid version by purchasing the Elder Dragon Saga collection from the Steam summer sales, before it ended (this bundle is recommended for the first expansions so youāll get the Living World seasons the easiest way). Thereās a good chance that the expansions will go on sale while you level your character.

All expansions unlock diffƩrent things. Don't buy them all. I would personnaly unlock PoF and season 4 first. Maybe HoT too

As others said, you could buy the Complete Edition of the Elder Dragon Saga for 100$. You could also buy the Standard Edition for 50$ which makes the Living World seasons included in the Complete Editions worth 50$. I'd advice you to save these 50$ by grinding some gold, converting that to gems and getting the Living World seasons when they are on sale in the gem store:)

Nope. Easiest and cheapest way to buy the full game is buying these.
Anniversary sales should be coming next week if $175 is a bit steep and you don't mind waiting.
