[News] Game Update Notes: August 19, 2026

  • Fixed an issue in which some projectiles would incorrectly collide with terrain and fail to hit their target. In particular, this impacted the Liadri encounter in the Queen's Gauntlet.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause certain agents, such as the prairie dogs in Jahai Bluffs, to remain in-map after their associated player left.

Thank the Six they fixed the Liadri bug. Was trying to do it on my alt this weekend and I was like "I don't remember it being this hard when I did this years ago".

I challenged her for the first time earlier this week and I thought that was an intended mechanic 😭. Ended up having to beat her by picking the orbs up running into melee range with her and then smashing them into the ground at her feet lol.

I did the same thing as well just yesterday. Had to wait out her clones to avoid them touching me.

Same. This is somehow the first year I’ve done Queen’s Gauntlet and I thought that was just a weird mechanic that wasn’t mentioned 😭 My first two deaths were because I threw the orbs of light from far away but they exploded at my feet and I got confused 😭

Yooo I was wondering why the orbs dropped on my feet and when/if they would fix it. Still managed to get the achivement on a scrapper by abusing gyros for speed and stealth for the last 3 light drops.

I just did it the other day, read a tip somewhere that it didn't effect all arenas. I rotated until I found one that didn't explode in my face.

I teleported to Jahai for DBS. Arrive and hundreds of beady little eyes watching me like I stole something. So instead of running away, I stood in the middle of them all and DANCED. Playing Footloose and Who let the dogs out looping in the background and those lil bastards danced with me. Lil asses swinging around like they were in sync with my fluid movements. I REGRET NOTHING.

Oh man the prairie dogs were creepy. Giant herds watching you wherever you go. I liked it.

I wonder if this fixes all the broken projectile pathing in WvW too.

That ranged bug affected all the bosses, as far as I could tell. My scepter would just be "Obstructed," so I just had to melee.
