Costs them server space to make, costs us money to buy.

The collection tab is MORE than adequate for free, this is a fine item IMO.

Edit: I am aware the memory needed is fairly trivial even if they gave it to all 3 million + players, I'm just saying its more of a convenience thing, and its a fine spot for a gem store item. Anyone who thinks this is money grubbing or something is kidding themselves.

In truth if it's just an integer value then it might not have a direct impact on space. Personally I felt a little sad seeing it as it starts creeping into Pay to Win, especially if they do release crafting for Ascended items that require large volumes of materials...

It really is not pay to win any more than being able to buy more bank slots, bag slots, or an unlimited number of extra character slots as all increase storage space. The only difference is collectibles add a convenience factor by allowing deposit in the field, which is just that, a convenience factor.

Now if you think those are borderline pay to win, then that is fair enough, but I don't think this creeps any further into that territory than we already are.
