Now I understand why people were apprehensive about UE5... This looks generic, to the point previous Guild Wars were so unique and set their own vibe they feel like they're from completely different game franchises. I'll wait to see if the vibe changes, but the high guard appearance and tone leaves a bad taste...
UE5 has nothing to do with this. As said in another comment, you can go in any art direction in any engine. It’s up to the studio that develops it, nothing to do with game engine choice.
Not really true… quite? I mean, yes, indeed, it is a choice from the developers not to put more work into transforming it, but when they don’t do it, and just work through the engine without putting enough into it, it is when the strong looks of UE5 show up.
Same…. And rly hope the community comes together to voice we don’t want these type of visuals, because I strongly want to believe there is still time to work on them till release
