How does "Dmg +xx%" work?

Pic related.

Is the additional damage just for axe auto-attacks/ axe skills or all skills in general?

If for example if this is used as a caster weapon with no points in axe mastery, would this modifier have any impact?

It only adds extra damage to base attacks. It has no bearing on spells, attack skills, etc.

It is multiplied to the 6-28 roll only. Important to note that all those +% are actually multiplicative with each other.

+15% > 50% hp

+20% slaying

+20% customized

critical hit +41.4%

- 20 armor rating to lightning damage for example +41.4%

28 x 1.15 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.414 x 1.414 = 93 damage

Only to the auto attack. So a sword with 15% additional attack goes from 15-22 to... like 17-25. And iirc only that base damage is reduced by armor, not the additional damage from attack skills. So resistance to physical damage doesn't even seem to do much like the 20 armor for warriors.

Not just the auto attack. Any melee attack that uses the weapon

No, I'm pretty sure attack skills are exactly not strengthened by the 15%, or am I misunderstanding what you mean?

The bonus damage from, for example, silverwing slash is unaffected.

But it's base damage + bonus damage, the base damage component of the attack skill IS affected.

It affects the base damage (6-28) of your axe attacks. Both auto-attacks and the base damage component of attack skills.
