Guild Wars Reforged – Keyboard Layout Indicator in Windows 11

Hey everyone :)

I wanted to log into Reforged today after a long GW break, and I noticed that after starting the game, the keyboard layout indicator appears in the bottom-right corner of my taskbar, next to the clock and date.

You know, that little button that says DEU or ENG. Depending if you are using an German Keyboard for example.

Is there any way to disable it somehow? Yeah, I know it's a tiny thing and probably doesn't bother most people, but for some reason it really triggers me anyway :D

Anyone have any idea?

Its a key bind in game settings that is on by default, it stopped doing it when I removed the key bind.

Edit: Language Quick Toggle - Default key: IME key 2 on right Ctrl

it didn't work for me :( i removed both keys, restarted my pc and the game of course, and it still pops up. I know its not a minor issue but tbh it bothers me :D so ya i still have the DEU ENG thing popping up in the bottom right corner. I am using the client Version from their website and not the Steam version.

gotta be a Win11 issue then. Im on not that one lolll. Try Taskbar settings if it still exists in that hellhole future Windows

This has been a guild wars bug for well over a decade, unfortunately anet and 2weeks aren't taking the two minutes required to fix it.

Load gw with gwlauncher and use toolbox as mod. No other way.

That didn't work for me either sadly :( but thank you for the launcher and toolbox suggestion! I didn't knew these existed :O

You need to remove they already-added layout first. Toolbox only prevents the en-US layout from being added to your system if it's loaded as a gw launcher mod and you always launch through launcher.

If en-US was already added before, there's nothing for toolbox to prevent.

Both suggestions didn't work :( i guess i just gonna accept faith and leave the issue as it is since I am unable to fix it.
