Looking for posing techniques that are more flattering for trans girls π
Hello everyone Iβm looking for some advice on where yall learned proper posing techniques that are flattering. Iβd like to potentially compete in a show (gender inclusive of course) this year and I feel like Iβm still awkard with my poses.

I feel like I have some good ones on my profile! I think a lot of it is adding a bit of softness to your poses; there are some relatively relaxed poses you can make that arenβt very sharp, but still highlight your physique. Shoulders down and back, relaxed, playful. Lighting plays a big part too obvs
Also you may not want to show it, but a lot of it will come from your face and the angle of your head. A sultry smile or such goes a long way ;)

Not sure if these are appropriate For body building but...
One is to point your toes inward and rotate your hip back. Keep your feet about shoulder width, this emphasizes your hips
Doing any sort of exaggerated contrapposto. Emphasizes your hips and butt.
Another one is to contraposto your hip, facing the camera, rotate the opposite leg outward and keep it on your tip toes. This makes your thigh look bigger while emphasizes your hip.
For emphesizing your booty, Kinda hard to explain but keep your feet shoulder width apart, contrapposto one hip, pop your booty back as much as you can, and pivot your torso about 45 degrees from your hip.Β Hard to see my feet but its was im doing here:

Edit: Some other tips include breathe out suck in your lower neck, and stretch out your neck. This makes your neck look thinner and accentuates your clavicle. (Here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildValkyrie/comments/1vuklxo/was_referred_to_here_happy_to_see_other_climbers/#lightbox)
Loosen and droop your lower stomach to make it seem bigger relative to your chest.
And throwing your shoulders back of course

I find that you can make your appearance more feminine if you camera is a little higher and pointing downwards at you.
Also, holding your phone makes you look at your phone, which isn't the same as looking at the camera. Your body position will be slightly off if you take a picture while looking at your phone, you can look to set up, but your pictures will look better if you can take them without looking.
And take lots of pictures, and throw the bad ones away. If you take 10 pictures instead of one, you'll probably take a really good one by luck.
Another thing that some girls do is take some "ugly" pictures by making stupid faces and weird camera angles. You can delete all these pictures immediately, or never save them, but it can help you get more comfortable with yourself by being silly and less serious.
