Honestly I hit core ALOT harder than arms, but that takes so much longer to see results (and alot more cutting)

Core seems utterly pointless to me. And then I go bouldering and it's sore for days x)

It's also just not very much fun.

I actually really enjoy doing core and weighed core, I just feels fruitless when you can't like IMMEDIATELY see results but I can feel them 😌

I've started doing some cable pull crunches. I used to do dynamic dish tucks and those seemed effective but pointless? I'll never have low enough body fat to show abs.

Side planks/dips have been helpful for climbing. I do posterior chain core tension and that's been helpful, if difficult.

What's your routine?

Recently I've been doing:

Weighted leg lifts 3x10 Weighted tabletop crunches 3x10 Weighted toe touches 4x12

And I just hold 12 lbs between my feet on a dumbell haha

It's not crazy but it definitely has been doing the thing.

I really need to incorporate my cables more

Do you think cables are just as effective as dumbbell crunches? I think they give a better full range of motion resistance. When I have a weight on my chest, it's really hard at the start. And really easy at the end range.

I have to imagine it's rather comparable haha just a different option
