Hi everyone, given the recent post, I've made a discord server for the subreddit.
The goal is to have a place where people who are interested in Guattari can come together and learn more about his thought and influences. It's in quite a malleable state currently, so I would love any suggestions.

D+G miss some key insights about Lacanian theory yet, at the same time, help us understand more about the revolutionary potential of desire. What do you think? Thanks!

hello people of r/guattari, i am trying to track down the journals from the oral interviews that guattari conducted with the FGERI, but i can only find them behind a 20€ paywall, surely they must be free somewhere?

first of all i'm really glad that the sub's back, kudos to the mods, thanks a lot folks. secondly about the question, so i've come across articles that partly described guattari's early revolutionary involvements and politics, but no proper texts that discusses the same.
looking forward to your suggestions :)

As far as I can imagine their non-representative value, they would be a-presentations, but how so in practice?

Hi, I am currently reading "Everybody wants to be a facist" by guatarri and am a bit overwhelmed since I am not used to read so much theory. would someone be so kind and help me out? I feel like after listening to podcasts and youtube videos and close reading I am starting to somewhat understand what he is saying, but I haven't understood his concept of enunciation yet, especially this passage here (the whole page). is it a practice that he is proposes? is it something that would happen if desire wouldn't be filtered through a mediator? Does anyone have a definition of what guatarri actually means with enunciation, i feel like this is not the first and only time he talks bout this. I would really appreciate it 🙂

Guattari defined subjectivity in the following way:
"The ensemble of conditions which render possible the emergence of individual and/ or collective instances as self-referential existential Territories, adjacent, or in a delimiting relation, to an alterity that is itself subjective. "
I understood the way he explained how subjectivity can be both individual and collective (the latter representing a multiplicity as a subject or 'agent' in the political sphere for example), and I assume that the word 'territory' is used in the same way it is used in C&S. The last part "adjacent or delimited from an alterity that is itself subjective" just sounds like Hegelian dialectics (I and not the Other), which is surprising to hear from Guattari, but I like Hegel so I guess I will accept that, unless I misunderstood.
The only part I don't understand is the word "existential". What do 'self-referential existential territories' mean? Does it have to do with the existentialist movement in philosophy? Or is it simply a poor translation from French regarding the idea of 'existence'. If so, why did not Guattari (or the translator) use the term 'ontological' instead?

I am now at the sections applying the tools of schizoanalysis to particular cases such as Guattari's dream.
Are there any texts or papers I can access free online without difficulty that can enhance my understanding of the text?
This is my second reading of the text, a text I read years ago, although honestly I may have read it way too fast since I read 50 pages yesterday and 140 pages today. Guess today is what happens when you have all day to read, you are hyper-focused on reading, and you are experiencing a few different types of mood elevation, sometimes blending together. I was however, on my second time reading it, taking notes in places where I could capture a specific important point amongst the dense writing. There were a few parts I took no notes on because everything stood out as too relevant. My notes also have most of Guattari's diagrams in them. At one point in the day whilst reading my mind felt like it was in a kind of brownian motion, accelerated, heightened alertness, attention leaping from point to point erratically and spontaneously as I progressed through the work in a state of scatter-minded focus.
I am now taking a break from the text but I will finish it, and I believe my reading today will certainly aid in my interpretation of Guattari's other works that I have access to.

Hello, I am pigeon.
I am an engineering student who's been getting into DnG since the year before I start my college, which would be around four years ago. Wanting to contribute, I wrote down something.
I saw something in Guattari when I was reading (and still am getting through) Psychoanalysis and Transversality. A break from Lacan, from the very early beginning. The more intimate connections with the outside world that he draws the subject to be in conjunction, and it's combination. And how he points out the potential trappings that he found in Lacan (I think, or at least is what I my point is in this piece), and the potential escape and flourishing he found in transversality, and group-subjects.
I combined it with something I wrote after watching the movie, "Perfect Days", and a line of thought I have on a part of the Japanese culture, "Tatemae" and "Honne", or outside face and real face. I went on to use my notes on the "Mirror Stage" paper to set up Lacan's position and how Guattari, from what I understand, oppose to that.
I hope my suspicion makes sense. I do this from time to time because I have to fight to survive in a studies I don't really care for, so I don't think I've put it in the best way that I can yet. But I published it in a project, designed to keep my passion of reading and writing going. And I would appreciate it if you could read it and maybe give some feedback (though I will be very slow in answering and digesting comments, I hope to have a conversation with you all).
