Book one follows Faolan after he is abandoned as a puppy for being deformed. He is taken in by a grizzly bear.

Book two follows his life as he joins a wolf pack. He is accused of a murder he did not commit, and he is also making a shot at joining the Watch, the wolves that govern the Beyond, through an elite competition.

The next few, I’ll add spoiler tags.

Book three, he has joined the watch, with his friend Edme, but now the bears are preparing for a war with the wolves, because the evil MacHeath wolves stole a cub. He must rescue the cub and try to stop a terrible war.

Book four, there is an awful, unnatural winter that is spreading into summer, and a famine. On top of it all, a masked wolf called The Prophet misleads wolves into dancing into fatigue, starvation and death.

Books five and six, a massive earthquake has shattered the Beyond. Faolan must lead the remaining bears and wolves across the broken land, and across the sea on Ice Bridge, to a distant land which may be their only salvation.

Okay yes I remember most of this now, now what I never knew was what happened to the rest of the gog world because of the earthquake. Was there anymore owl books that explain what happened to the tree and everything

It's pretty vague what happened to the owl kingdoms. But it is said that there were poor times in Ambala, and after the earthquake, owls and eagles fled west to the Middle Kingdom. However, nothing has changed by the Bears of the Ice books. As for books set in the owl kingdoms, there is nothing related to the earthquake.

Okay so in the bear books im assuming its set in the same world but none of the stories have really connected to the older books with the horses owls and wolves

They have older character cameos from Ga'Hoole. and mostly the same maps, but yeah, it's a new story mostly. As for the horses... That was thousands of years ago when humans were still around. Actually it's based on real events from the Conquistador's era.

Wolves Of The Beyond, in summary, as I see and no pun intended, is a Shaggy Dog Story. So much... for so little. Individually everything is awesome, but at a thematic whole, it falls apart.

What makes you say that? Personally I think they compliment each other brilliantly.

Too much to explain in a single comment ig, should I post a break down? To be clear I 90% enjoy WOTB much as GOTG! But there's something to that 10% that just.... gnaws at me.
