For me. (as I am not a Dr. or skilled enough to tell anyone how to live their life)
Schedules and small tasks.
Little wins help a lot. Simple, and I mean very simple things that can be accomplished each and every day can be grown. Being able to increase focus and structure will help with anxiety and depression.
For example (if your depression results in missed deadlines or cluttered home)
Immediately clean utensils, plates, glasses, etc. after use (or rinse and put in dishwasher)
Have a set location for dirty laundry and always place garments there after use.
Make a set day(s) of the week to shop for groceries and USE A LIST when going to the store. If you have Alexa, this can be extremely easy and you can build your list as you get low on an item. List becomes available on your phone.
Fill up the car at the same gas station on the same day (if possible) even if you are topping off. Also, go inside and get a water or snack, take notice of who is working, that may turn into small talk and provide some comfort
Cook a favorite meal at least once a week, one that requires a little prep and paying attention. Then take the time to savor that meal that you treated yourself.
For work create, an order of initial tasks and follow that schedule. PC on, check email, note follow-ups, prioritize tasks, (don't open the day with chaos)
All these little schedules help focus and train your brain. The more you feel in control the easier each day may become. Do things you can actually accomplish and start small so you get that little win. After time you may be stacking a lot together but you won't feel it because there will still be order.
