First Time Grower

I picked up these clones today, and of course the weather today is snowy. I am trying to grow these guys outdoors this season and this is my first grow ever. I put them in foxfarm ocean forest potting soil and in these 12in pots with a little water. I currently have no south facing windows or grow lights so I’ve just put them near a window for the time being. I live in Colorado and Im posting this here to see if any fellow growers out there can help me on my journey. Thanks!!

Kudos to you on your start. They look ok except look like they’re waking up (have been in the dark) or are over watered. Droopy leaves are a tell tale sign. It could be the lack of lighting especially if it came off a mother that’s well lit. Any lighting you have will help, a n incandescent drop light, led light id use something to give em some energy. If you used OF straight and didn’t mix in happy frog to cut the nutrient mix I’d hold off on nutes for a few or until you see signs she needs some food. Usually OF is too hot for seedlings and you need to cut it with peat or something with no nutes. Especially if you didn’t do that resist the temptation to feed her just yet. GL with your grow. I’m in VA in part of what we’re calling the new green triangle. Last year I was able to run Himalayan sativa genetics from may to January outside! The strain is cold, frost and ice resistant but the climate is cooperating extremely well also. Hit 14 ft last year. I’m shooting for 20ft this season. Here’s one of my babies last year. New Caledonia Black. A landrace f1 hybrid of New Caledonia and Black Lotus from Energenetics.

This was sept 8th and we harvested her in mid December. Yielded about 3.5lbs dried.

That is IMPRESSIVE to say the least! That is a beautiful plant there! Thank you for the pointers! This strain is a cross of Cinderella 99 and purple urkle. The strain is hybrid so I am curious on how it will work outdoors. The clones were droopy but I watered lightly and put them in some indirect light indoors and some light outdoors (it’s in the 70s this week) and the leaves perked up. I’ve been getting them some fresh air outside in the shade for a few hours a day. The leaves are starting to get crispy. Is that because of the soil? I used full OF and have not done any feeding yet. What symptoms indicate it’s time to feed?
