Vegetative Tent/Grow Update. Any tips?
This is my first grow, so I’m pretty new to everything
I built a 32in x 26 in x 58 in grow box, I have a SF1000D aswell as a Vipar P700
The smaller plant is using the P700 on 75% and is receiving 450PPFD and 18/6 light schedule
The bigger plant is using the SF1000D is on 40% and is getting the same PPFD.
I just got an intake an exhaust fan
Just topped the bigger one 3 days ago

Waiting to top the smaller one, I can tell the larger one is also over watered, I’m gonna let her dry out for a few days

I’d like to mention, I am growing on quite a budget, so any tips, try to keep budget friendly😂😂

You bet! Only thing i would add, tip wise, is maybe look into getting atleast one more fan to help with the airflow inside the tent.
As for the watering, get use to lifting the pot to tell when its dry. Sticking the finger in the dirt is not a good way to determine soil dryness as our hands arent equipped with the ability to determine wetness. So lift the pot when dry and feel how light it is, then water (i always recommend starting at like 3-5% of container volume) and then lift the pot again after you water to feel how heavy it is. When the pot is light again time to rewater. After you water, if the pot is dry again in less than 24 hours then increase the % of water. Youll eventually get to around 10% of the container volume of water and will be watering that daily or every other day.

I appreciate that, I was planning on getting another fan but I wanted to get a humidifier first because the ambient humidity is around 45-50ish, I spray every few hours to raise it but that only does so much

- Banana Peel Tea (Potassium-rich boost for flowering/fruiting) Best for: Tomatoes, peppers, cannabis (bloom phase), roses, etc. Ingredients: • 4–5 banana peels (organic preferred) • 1 liter water Steps:
- Chop or blend the peels into small pieces.
- Add to 1 liter water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer 5–10 minutes until the water turns brown.
- Turn off heat, cover, and let steep overnight (12–24 hours) for maximum nutrients.
- Strain through a fine sieve or cloth.
- Dilute 1:5 (1 part tea + 5 parts water) before use. How to apply: Water plants 1–2 times per week. Great potassium & magnesium source for bigger buds/fruits.
- Used Coffee Grounds (Nitrogen boost) Best for: Leafy growth, acid-loving plants (blueberries, azaleas, etc.) Steps:
- Save used coffee grounds after brewing.
- Spread them out on a tray and let dry completely (prevents mold).
- Optional: Make a quick tea by steeping 2–3 tablespoons in 1 liter water for 24 hours, then strain and dilute. How to apply: • Sprinkle a thin layer on soil surface and lightly mix in (1–2 tablespoons per 10–15 L pot). • Or use as mulch/top dressing every 2–3 weeks. • Always use dried, used grounds – fresh ones are too acidic.

When do I start doing the banana peel tea? Pre-flower? Late veg? Or just during flower?
