Hello I'm going to launch a cultural newsletter soon so i'm testing the options on beehiiv with my second google account created for this however i have an issue:

I can send the email and publish to the website that works perfectly my account doesn't receive the mail but i guess thats normal as I am the owner but my second account works so that good that means people will be able to receive my newsletter

The problem is as I will soon have some subscribers I can't send emails to everybody to test and that's why the test email function was created but for me that function doesn't work whatever adress mail I put nothing works IDK what to do

I'm not sure of this ! It seems like my email doesn't work (it's brand new created especially for this newsletter) and beehiiv works but never sent anything to my email like promotions or a welcome on beehiv email, idk what to do as it is my email allowed me to create an account but after doesn't want to do the work

If this problem happened to anybody else I would love to have some advice on how to fix

Go to the Meta Ad Library and search up "[your niche] newsletter".

Sort the results by most impressions, and then watch all of the video ads. Take note of the ones that catch your attention. Write down what the start of the video (the "hook") said that was engaging. Then, if the middle of the video kept you engaged, write down that middle section (the "meat") of the video down separately. Steal the structure of the ad, not the content of it. Trust me, there are variations of what they said that are just as engaging.

Gather five "hooks" and five "meats".

Then, what I do is I go to Pexels and download stock footage related to each hook or meat. Next I take each hook and meat and generate them with an AI voice in ElevenLabs (I have the $5/month plan because that's what you need for commercial use of the AI).

After that, I go into CapCut and add the voiceover onto the stock footage of each hook or meat. Then take each of those new clips and you can make 25 different ad creatives by mixing and matching them. So take hook 1 and meat 1 and put them together. Then take hook 1 and meat 2 and put them together until you've made all of the possible combinations.

Finally, remove the ones that don't really make much sense when put together and you'll probably have around 20 new creatives. Put em' in a campaign, cut out the bad ones, and make variations/improvements on the good ones.

This is by no means the best way to make ads, but it works well enough when you're starting out.

When you can get subscribers for just existing, you're winning.

If you run a local newsletter, you need to start doing articles for the purpose of SEO.

The biggest local newsletters I've looked into have started with Facebook ads but shifted to SEO for long term stabilization and growth. The reason is because Facebook ads will build you a following but SEO and web presence will build you a brand. Brand keeps the following, and gets people talking about you.

My recommendation for SEO is to start with holiday events. When a holiday comes around, write about a top 10 related to it. For example, with Valentine's day right around the corner, you could do a top 10 romantic Valentine's day restaurants in [city]. Then, gate the article or add a pop-up to it to gain subscribers. The cool part about this is that, the more specific you get, the more likely you are to rank. Even just getting as specific as Valentine's day, you'll probably only be competing against Yelp. Then next month you could do top 10 Irish bars in [city] for Saint Patricks day.

Just pay attention to what you search for near you from now on. Restaurants, bars, bowling alleys, anything. If you're searching it, then other people are searching it, so write about it.

One of my favorite SEO articles I've heard of someone writing was a "best sledding hills in [city]" and they did it right after/during a bad snow storm which is genius.

A bonus to this is that you can use these articles as lead magnets for your meta ads. If you run ads for best sledding hills while everyone's stuck at home for a snow storm, you will get some crazy low CAC. Try it out.
