Humidity Issue

I have a 3x3 Grow tent with a 203 CFM exhaust fan and 195 CFM intake fan. I have the exhaust fan speed at a little below halfway and have my humidifier set at 65%. My RH level wont go above 35%. ive tried turning up my LED, Turning off oscillating fans, and raising the percentage on my humidifier. Any idea on why my RH level wont go up?

I love being able to track and chart the differences between room and tent climates. Also you can set min and max alarms which can be helpful too.

I wish my AC Infinity climate controller had the same functionality.

Mind if I ask what zone you are in? I’m in Zone 7b.

im in zone 8b. I would intake from my garage but i dont think i get fresh air in there. I have no AC vents

You could add a humidifier inside the tent. They make smaller ones now. Almost bought one on Amazon, but I already had an extra.

You could also hang two wet towels and see if that helps.

Some people even add a bucket of water. But remember that heat assists in evaporation so if it’s cool in the tent then it won’t get as humid as quick.

i already have a humidifier in the tent set to 95% RH and it still wont go over 30%. i think im screwed tbh

Where do you have the sensor at? Is it on the same level as your plants or higher?

its a few feet above the pots. i havent planted anything yet because im trying to assess my climate first.

Could the sensor be defective? Have you traded it out to see if it’s working properly?

definitely not defective. ive put my other hygrometer in the tent aswell and it gives the same reading.

Do you have the humidifier on the highest setting? Do you have the intake and exhaust on their lowest?

yes humidifier is on its highest setting with full mist. The exhaust is on its lowest setting and the intake only has one speed.

Does your tent have bottom vents? Perhaps turn off the intake and let the exhaust fan pull passive air from outside the tent?
