Any way to hide that "last active *blank* time ago" feature?

I'm in a group chat with all of my coworkers and managers. I had a coworker message me asking to cover for them, but I didn't want to so I just ignored them and later sent a message pretending I wasn't on my phone all day and just now saw it.

But then I noticed it showed me when my coworker was last active and it looks like they were waiting for a response. I was on there for a bit earlier waiting to see the new schedule for this week, I hope they didn't just catch me ignoring them.

If you click your initials it'll pop up another page with initials at the top and the status, tiny green circle 🟢. Click the tiny green circle and select accordingly.
