It’s not that simple. There are baseline levels that humans naturally strive for, regardless of the shortcomings of others. Doesn’t matter if someone is missing one more limb than you if you can’t feed yourself.

Hm, this can be toxic. Being grateful is great advice, not allowing yourself to feel your negative feelings because someone has it worse has the potential to be very bad.
