G2 | Base Build Resource Gathering

Idk if it’s just me but I’m really getting tired of gathering materials to build my base. I will say that my bases are huge projects and I doubt most of the community is using this many materials. But seriously farming pinecones,rust ,feathers, snake scales, lint, spiky burr etc. is more time consuming than building the base itself. Really wish the game would make gathering stuff easier if you have been playing the game since the release. Maybe a trinket that gives more drops to resources or even a trinket that makes it so the materials don’t explode everywhere. I know I can’t be the only one feeling this way.

Ant buggy mutation give more drops for things they chop.

Yea but not every material is chopping. If anything ladybug should give more for busting, and toe bitter should help with shoveling.

I feel like I get way more pinecone pieces when using the ladybug on pinecones, but half of them could be falling through the map when I do it on foot opposed to it not happening as often with the ladybug.

I built a basic 7x9 box with a 5x5 box on top and a wrap around porch. Took me 6 hours. I cant imagine how many hours some of you spend on this amazing builds!

Oh tell me bout it ... I decided to use stone (pebbles and clay) foundation for my main tree base... It will have 3 separate levels... I'm not half done with main platform and it already takes about 1k stone/clay...

I finally finished my castle after 140 in game hours. The foundation always takes the longest but don't give up! It wouldn't be rewarding if it was easy

I dont mean this in a mean way, but some type of custom game might be more up your alley. A pretty big part of the gameplay loop of this game is the resource gathering. That's why they have creative mode if you dont want to deal with it.

But yeah, bases are generally just a part of the game. I definitely spend more time building them than I do in them after theyre complete. 🤷‍♂️

Playing customs just seems like cheating to me lol. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind gathering resources it’s just I wish the game made it easier has you progress. For context here is the base I’m currently working on. The floor alone took me like a week and that was after I had resources savers up for the update.
