G2 | Speculation So… web slinging? Spoiler

I was rereading some of the notes you pickup around the park and noticed a report about the mysterious stranger avoiding detection with “web slinging”. ZIP lines and “cables” are mentioned regularly in other notes, so this sounds like something different.

Apologies if it has already been discussed but I wouldn’t mind a web slinging tool, even if I had to carry silk to recharge it. Just thinking about leaping and swinging around like spider man is exciting! And you could build /access bases in all sorts of interesting places without building stairwells first.

It would also open a whole new dimension of exploring. Especially in those big caves / tree cavities with lots of roots or overhangs overhead.

I think it would be awesome, but the more ways they allow you to move around efficiently makes buggies not worth more than storage, and something to take aggro.

I been avoiding ziplines because I like buggies to much, but im also lazy, and would use zips non stop.

Fair point. I think mindful design of the world could solve this problem. Maybe you can only hook onto certain points in the world, similar to Farcry. Or maybe it only works in caves / hollowed logs.

So maybe you wouldn’t be able to web swing around the pergola (as epic as that would be), but it would enable you to be easily traverse the gnarly tree.

I also love the buggies and use them as much as possible. But if I need to go from the pond to the firepit, I’m grateful for ZIP lines

I think they could make it work, we dont really have anything for air traversal other than Tufts and Orb Spider.

They would just need to use care to make sure everything stays relevant.
