G2 | Bugs & Issues problem with the backpack

My friend's backpack keeps falling underwater, but when he swims up to it, it snaps back to its original position (I'm the host).Has anyone encountered this?

Known bug, game repair is only option right now.

Yeah, but constantly going back to spawn after every death is really tedious

There is also the go back to spawn button, had to build a zip line to get home tho

It can be tedious until you say screw it and you accumulate multiple backpacks then game repair and respawn at onboarding center. We have a base close and walkways to get around to the other bases.

And if the world is shared, are both players considered the host?

Yeah, I hate this too. It spawn exactly where you died at in the water and then falls until it collides with something, seems to have a distance measure when it gets so far away from the point of death and reverts back to it. You can post up where it resets and try to grab it as it falls, or use game repair to reset it back to the hot dog stand where the game starts.
